Members of illegal paramilitary groups will be brought to account and they must understand that no one needs them abroad, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the meeting to review the social and political situation and the crime rate in Belarus on 24 January.
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko continues a series of events to evaluate the country's response to COVID-19. A day before, the head of state held a large-scale meeting to discuss the epidemiological situation and measures taken to counter the spread of the coronavirus infection. On 20 October Aleksandr Lukashenko is visiting healthcare facilities of Minsk District.
During the previous waves of the coronavirus infection, Aleksandr Lukashenko had also visited several healthcare facilities treating COVID-19 patients, including ‘red zones'.
"We need to take a decision on Borovlyany this year or early next year. There is a need to change its status from a settlement in Minsk District into an urban community with all the ensuing consequences. This issue is of paramount importance. We have already discussed it," the head of state said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko arrived at the hospital immediately after visiting the nearby Alexandrov National Cancer Center. There, the head of state got acquainted with the state of affairs and the organization of medical care for cancer patients.
