The Lang Wong Memorial Endowment Scholarship is presented to an outstanding international graduate student who has demonstrated academic excellence. This award is named in memory of Lang Wong, a Canadian who devoted over 50 years of his life to the cause of international development, primarily in Asia, through service with the United Nations and its member agencies, the Canadian government, the International Development Research Centre and the Ford Foundation. 2020 - Liang Diao Liang Diao is a PhD student in Economics at SFU. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, he joined SFU to pursue further study and research in Law and Economics.
