ROSEMOUNT, Minn. - A new commander will be leading the Minnesota National Guard's 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 34th Red Bull Infantry Division. Ar.
Army Col. Timothy Kemp will relinquish command of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 34th Red Bull Infantry Division, to Army Lt. Col. Charles "Chip" Rankin in a ceremony on Saturday at the Training and Community Center in Rosemount, Minnesota, according to a news release from the Minnesota National Guard.

Park Rapids Vern Weekley Field will host the state Class A boys and girls True Team track and field meet on Friday, May 28.
A total of 12 boys teams and 12 girls teams have been invited to compete, including both Park Rapids teams. The Panthers won the Section 8A titles to qualify.
Also winning section titles were Pine Island (boys) and GMLOK (girls) in Section 1A, Sibley East (boys) and JWP (girls) in Section 2A, Redwood Valley (boys) and SWMCH-EHS (girls) in Section 3A, Howard Lake-Waverly (boys) and Maple Lake (girls) in Section 4A, Morris Area (boys) and Minnewaska Area (girls) in Section 5A, Frazee (boys) and Barnesville (girls) in Section 6A, and Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin (boys and girls) in Section 7A. Four wild card teams for both boys and girls yet
