Vosburgh is in her eighth year as a club member, joining back in 2015 not only because of her love of gardening, but because of the many knowledgeable women in the club.
Entry day for the Kandiyohi County Fair is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 9 for Open Class. The fair runs Aug. 10-13 at the fairgrounds in northwest Willmar.

Mark Aug. 11-14 on your calendar. The Kandiyohi County Fair is back in 2021 after being canceled because of COVID-19 last year.
Actually, mark Aug. 10 on your calendar as that is entry day. Entries will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with no entries accepted after 6 p.m.
Kandiyohi County Master Gardeners will once again have their outdoor garden display between the two log cabins, and area master gardeners will be at the booth from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. to answer your garden questions. The theme for the garden this year is “Nature Heals.” There will be different examples of how nature can heal, including walking in nature, medicinal plants, etc.
Heavy-duty sprinklers with metal, non-plastic parts for longer life.
A fertilizer spreader with adjustable settings for fertilizer and grass seed.
Fountains or water features for restful additions to landscapes.
Sundials or statuary to add interest to plantings.
Hose guides to steer water hose around edges of flower beds and landscapes.
Heavy-duty pruning loppers plus hand-held shears. Treat gardeners to quality tools, which perform better than bargain brands and can last a lifetime.
Dandelion digger for spot-removal of lawn weeds.
Hose-end sprayer for applying herbicides or insecticides.
Books with landscape ideas.
Vegetable gardeners
A ball of heavy twine, sturdy wooden stakes, and yardsticks for both ends of the row to measure and space vegetables, while keeping rows straight during planting.
