Duluth, Minn. The University of Minnesota Sea Grant Program and partners are investigating new strategies for increasing in-state production of Golden Shiner fish for Minnesota’s bait industry. The project is supported by a three-year $188,000 grant from the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources.

MNSG and Sea Grant programs nationwide invest a large part of their federal and university funding in research and education competitions that are directly managed by a research coordinator.
