A small group of students at the vanguard of a national movement testing the idea of a three-year bachelor’s degree spent the summer in class, reducing the time and cost it takes to get through college.
Students at the University of Minnesota Rochester are participating in the College in 3 pilot which offers students the opportunity to work through the summer to earn their degrees in three years.
This fall, the University of Minnesota Morris welcomes Michelle Janning as its Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Liberal Arts. Janning is a sociology professor and endowed chair of social sciences at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She will deliver two public lectures as well as participate in other campus events including classroom visits and discussions.
The Minnesota Historical Society's Native American Undergraduate Museum Fellowships program provides six students with 10-weeks of training and experience, aiding their entry into tribal historic preservation and museum fields.
