ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - Nearly five years after launching a pilot program, Minnesota’s hemp industry is taking root. A plan to govern the production and regulation of hemp in the state received USDA approval on Monday. I think that the USDA approval is a win for the Department of Agriculture in that we have these clear regulations and requirements that we are going to implement, said Whitney Place, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture Assistant Commissioner.
