Kaylee McKeown put a scare into the 50 backstroke world record on Friday, blazing a personal-best 27.02 just .04 seconds off the Liu Xiang's world record.
Kaylee McKeown won the 50 back by more than half a second with a time of 27.24, in the process breaking Liu Xiang's World Cup record (27.35 from 2019).
