Our Correspondent Imphal, Aug. 23 (EMN): Union Minister of State for Textiles, Darshana Vikram Jardosh said in order to increase India’s stake in man-made fibre, some schemes have been initiated as India has mostly cotton based industry and globally people prefer man-made fibre. Addressing the inaugural session of the Technical Textiles Conference in Imphal on Tuesday, Jardosh elaborated on the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for textiles and the PM Mitra Scheme. Explaining the vision of the Textile Ministry under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Cabinet Minister Piyush Goyal, she lauded Chief Minister N Biren Singh for working with all departments and ministries to take Prime Minister’s vision forward.
