Putrajaya is the second richest state in Malaysia by median income, but has the fourth highest rate of stunting. Why?  When the 2016 National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) revealed Putrajaya's stunting rate was 24.3 percent, many were left stumped. It was higher than the national stunting prevalence at the time, which was 20.7 per cent.  Higher stunting prevalence is often associated with rural areas and hardcore poverty.
