New LED lighting has been installed in a number of the Geraldine High School classrooms. This school’s LED project follows the installation of 150 solar panels on the roof of the school in 2019. It was estimated the 45kWp (kilowatt peak) photovoltaic system would save the school more than $400,000 in electricity costs over the next 25 years. It provides up to 25 per cent of the school’s domestic electricity needs.
