JOHOR BARU: The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry is reviewing the compounds issued against a couple here for not wearing their face masks even though there were no customers in the premises. The Ministry’s Johor office issued a statement on Saturday (March 13) stating that they were aware of the matter and have obtained a report on the incident, which took place on March 7. “We are looking into the basis of the action taken against the shop owners. If it is found that the compounds should not have been issued in the first place, the Ministry will refer the matter to the Health Ministry and recommend a reconsideration of the compounds, ” it said.
