Qatar Central Bank announces Bank Holiday on March 7  04 Mar 2021 - 20:39 QNA Doha - Qatar Central Bank (QCB) announced that Sunday, March 7, 2021 will be official holiday for all banks and financial institutions operating under its supervision. In a press statement, the QCB said that the closure of banks, money exchange outlets, investment and financial companies, insurance firms, and insurance broker companies on this date is pursuant to the Council of Ministers Decision No. (33) of 2009. The said Decision stipulates that the first Sunday of March each year shall be an official holiday for all banks operating in the State of Qatar. The statement added that all these institutions will reopen on Monday, March 8, 2021.
