COVID or not, the nation’s infrastructure must continue to be built and $500 million will go towards upgrading, modernising, and expanding our road network and the provision of clean and safe drinking water and electricity.
Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum said services must be expanded.
“And we still must drive and travel, so our roads must be maintained,” he said while announcing the 2021-2022 national budget last night.
“$272 million is provided for the Fiji Roads Authority, $195 million to the Water Authority of Fiji and $26.6 million to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Meteorological Services.
