John says he is disappointed the driver was not cited. This was not something that neighborhood i think its very important drivers are held accountable in circumstances like this. John says amy is currently in the intenstive care unit in iowa city. At last check she is stable but brain swelling is expected to peak and then go down within the next 48 hours. An iowa driver is killed after being hit by a piece of debris. It happened in davenport off of i 80. Iowa state patrol say debris on the road went through the drivers windshield, causing them to crash their car. The drivers name hasnt been under investigation. The proposed legislation would not require a motorist to change lanes if there is a designated bike lane. The bill passed the senate yesterday and is now headed over to the house for debate. Lawmakers are also working on an amendment to the iowa constitution relating to Electronic Communications and data. The joint resolution would make it necessary for Law Enforcement to get a warrant to access that electronic information, from items like a computer or cell phone.
