The state has imposed strict restrictions under this ‘Mini Lockdown’. Saloons, Beauty Parlours, Gyms, Malls, Theatres, Dine-in at Restaurants are shut from Monday onwards. However, only take-aways are allowed from the restaurants given that food falls under the essential category. This is likely to affect the retail businesses in Tamil Nadu to the core. Karnataka has also enforced similar restrictions as all the shops are shut down, except the supply of essential commodities like vegetables, dairy products. Even bakeries have been shut.
