No need foreign assistance for mini-grid island project; CEB Union

In a statement, CEBTESU said there is absolutely no reason to obtain assistance from another country to upgrade the existing electricity generation system which provides less than 01 MW to an island population, which is comparatively low. The Ceylon Electricity Board Technological Engineers and Superintendent Union said the present administration had produced false documentation to claim the CEB lacks the resources for the said project, and this project is being used for other purposes.
