Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord has already been out in Steam Early Access for 12 months. An entire year has passed us by, but thanks to the COVID pandemic, it feels like only yesterday I first fired up Bannerlord with the largest grin on my face. Since then, I ve put 170 hours into it.
Whether
you should pick it up though is a difficult question to answer. If you re clawing for one of the best battle simulation games that allows you to enjoy 500 vs. 500 army battles with up to 1,000 units on the field at any given time, this is a must-have game. In my Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord preview, I noted that it s not all perfect in the land of Calradia, but whether you re rolling up to a castle to lay siege with thousands of men or creating your own kingdom, the ride has been wild.

On Sept. 17, 2020, Capcom announced two new titles for the Monster Hunter franchise: Monster Hunter Rise, the next main entry in the Monster Hunter series, and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, the long-awaited sequel to the JRPG spinoff title, Monster Hunter Stories.
The first game was an underrated gem on the 3DS and mobile devices and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is looking to improve the groundwork laid out by its predecessor. If all goes well, it may end up being one of the best RPGs on PC.
At the time of this writing, we haven t seen a lot of in-depth gameplay footage beyond cutscenes. To compensate, we will discuss what we know about both games to help newcomers understand why they should get excited about this title. Forza Horizon 5?
Forza Horizon 5 will be the follow-up game to Playground Games Forza Horizon 4 from 2018. Like all the other Forza Horizon games, Forza Horizon 5 will probably be an open-world racing game with gorgeous visuals, accessible driving mechanics, and a massive roster of high-quality licensed vehicles from dozens of manufacturers all centered around the fabled Forza Horizon festival. Forza Horizon 5 will likely come to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass, but older Xbox One consoles may be left out for this release.
Forza Horizon 5 will also be the more arcade-like open-world counterpart to the highly-anticipated eighth Forza Motorsport. Not a ton is known about Forza Horizon 5 at this point, but there is a bit we can glean from rumors, speculation, and the power of precedent from previous Forza Horizon games.

The last thing I expected on Saturday morning was to pick up an indie game and immediately fall in love with it. That s the wonder of Xbox Game Pass, I suppose. I doubt I would have even heard of Rain on Your Parade, which was released on April 15, 2021 without Game Pass giving me access to a great selection of AAA games and indies. Since I wouldn t lose any money trying it out, I decided it was worth a shot.
I am happy to report that the developers at Unbound Creations LLC made something special. This little indie title is in the same vein as Untitled Goose Game and Donut County, so while it might not be the most challenging game, it s definitely a hilarious way to help you pass the time.

Microsoft is back again with another Windows 10 preview build for Insiders in the Dev Channel. Today s build is 21364 and includes support for Linux GUI applications running directly on Windows using the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). That, plus other minor changes and enhancements.
Microsoft is also adding more Edge process classifications to Task Manager a new eco mode that allows users to throttle certain processes from within Task Manager, and a new 50-on touch keyboard for Japanese users. The full changelog is as follows:
