Village electric bills this month were printed with the incorrect due date payment is actually due Jan. 29 and the fuel adjustment charge for residential customers is higher than normal. That’s because a software error caused those fees to be incorrectly calculated last month, resulting in some residential customers being charged just pennies, while commercial customers were charged twice, according to village Treasurer Mindy Goddeau. “It was decided that this month would be the best month to add the difference back in because you would have used a lower amount of electricity and the bill would not be as large as if we charged it in February or March,” Goddeau wrote in a letter to electric customers.
