AirAsia launches new Jakarta-Padang route

Low-cost carrier AirAsia has opened a new route connecting Jakarta with Padang, West Sumatra. Using the Airbus A320, the route’s flight (QZ 830) departs from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, at 7:45 a.m. and lands at Minangkabau International Airport in West Sumatra at 9:30 a.m. The launch is part of AirAsia’s series of new domestic routes that include West Java’s Bandung to Bali and Jakarta to Riau’s Pekanbaru. Commemorating the launch, the carrier is also offering special prices from Rp 471,000 (US$33.37) for the Jakarta-Pekanbaru route, Rp 489,000 for the Jakarta-Padang route and Rp 745,000 for the Bandung-Bali route. The offers include a free baggage allowance of up to 15 kilograms. Tickets can be booked on the AirAsia app, its website or via travel agents.
