The Wisconsin State Senate passed a resolution that would end Governor Evers public health emergency order, including the mask mandate.
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin State Senate passed a resolution, 18-13, on Tuesday, Jan. 26 that would end Governor Evers public health emergency order, including the mask mandate.
Senators argue this vote has big ramifications. It’s something that’s going to put lives needlessly at risk. It’s going to make businesses suffer even longer, said State Sen. Chris Larson (D-Milwaukee).

MILWAUKEE, WI Milwaukee Pride, Inc., the parent organization of PrideFest and Wisconsin s largest LGBTQ+ event, announced Tuesday that it is officially canceling the four-day event slated for June.
The festival was set to take place at the Henry W. Maier Festival Grounds from Thursday, June 3 through Sunday, June 6, 2021. This is the second year in a row PrideFest has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

MADISON, Wis. - A year ago this week, on January 30, 2020, UW Health saw a patient in the University Hospital’s emergency department who exhibited symptoms of a new virus.
Back then, testing a person for COVID-19 meant sending all lab samples to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. On Feb. 5, a positive result came back to Madison confirming COVID-19 had reached Wisconsin. It was the first case in the state, and only the 12th confirmed case in the country at the time.

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Pride, Inc., the parent organization of PrideFest, Wisconsin’s largest LGBTQ+ event, announced on Tuesday, Jan. 26 that it is officially canceling the four-day event slated for June.
PrideFest was set to take place at Maier Festival Park from Thursday, June 3-Sunday, June 6, 2021. This is the second year in a row the festival has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wes Shaver, Milwaukee Pride, Inc. President issued this statement in a news release: After much consideration, we cannot move forward with planning a June 2021 festival without knowing how and when a vaccine will be distributed throughout our community equally.
