Milton Planning and Zoning Commission has encouraged the developer of a 14-unit townhome project on Mulberry Street to move forward with plans.
The project would still need to go through preliminary and final site-plan review before it can be built.
At the commission’s Jan. 19 meeting, Kevin Smith, project manager with the Kercher Group, said the property at 500 Mulberry St. has been approved for development twice before. The lot, currently vacant, was approved for development in June 2005 and April 2006, but the then-owner did not end up building on the site, which has been sold to Ken Lewis, who wants to develop the parcel as previously appr

Verizon says 140-foot tower will improve coverage

Milton Planning and Zoning Commission has tabled a decision on whether to grant a special permitted use to Cellco Partnership to erect a 140-foot cell phone tower with a base in the town’s public works yard on Front Street.

After pulling out of an attempt to build a medical office complex on Mulberry Street in downtown Milton, that project’s developers have proposed a new facility at the intersection of Route 16 and Route 30.
Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the preliminary site plan for the project Dec. 10, allowing for further development of the plans.
Developer Phoenix Holdings has proposed a single, 40,000-square-foot building on a 142-acre parcel across from Kemp’s Liquors near the traffic signal at Route 16 and Route 30.
