Some of the first South Florida seniors in the general public are likely to receive doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as this week at local hospitals and public parks. Broward Health is still vaccinating its own employees but has enough of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to move forward with inoculating the county’s seniors. The hospital system will begin COVID-19 vaccinations for people over 65 on Wednesday, but you must make an appointment in advance. The vaccines will be given out at a community site in Fort Lauderdale.
