MILLOM community group reaches out to residents in need. The Around the Combe Community Group was forged in 2014 to save Millom s community hospital, and volunteers have now focused on helping people affected by the pandemic. Volunteers have delivered thousands of hot meals, created and donated food hampers, collected prescriptions and delivered shopping to vulnerable people over the last year. The Around the Combe Community Group is coordinated by Jenn Jakubowski and Jenny Brumby. “It was really important to us to help our community during what has been such a difficult time for everyone,” says Jenny Brumby, Joint Coordinator of the Around the Combe Community Group.
