ADB Signs $65 Million Loan to Sustain Fiji Airways’ Services in the Pacific

MANILA, PHILIPPINES (12 March 2021) The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a $65 million COVID-19 Liquidity Support Facility for Fiji’s Air Pacific Limited, which operates as Fiji Airways and (through its wholly-owned subsidiary) Fiji Link, to help fund the company through the international travel downturn caused by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and to support its return to profitable operation.
The financing comprises a $40 million loan from ADB and a further $25 million loan from the Leading Asia’s Private Infrastructure Fund (LEAP), which will be administered by ADB.
