Colleagues say craig, one of 150 women served in the department always asked to be at the busiest fire station. Robbery detectives and special Operations Unit looked at the pattern of crimes and stakeout several stores as likely targets. The suspects seem to be wrapping up their level of violence and we know that robberies of the type will continue to ramp up. The strategy paid off. Two suspects showed up by one of the stores and then ward off as police swarmed in. The men jumped out and ran, one man was caught quickly. The other suspect kept running through the neighborhood and onto interstate 280 followed by officers and the Sheriffs Department a one helicopter. Two of our Robbery Detectives picked up on this, and started listening on the radio and actually flanked the fleeing suspects. Taken into custody were Angel Rodriguez leon and Jesus Beltran escobar. It took a lot of moving parts to come together and have a successful conclusion to this operation. The suspects are being held in the Santa Clara County jail. Detectives say theyre still looking for possible suspects witnesses, and victims.
