KANOSH, Utah â The Millard County Sheriff s Office is asking the public to keep an eye out for a dog that ran away after a car accident on I-15.
The male border collie, pictured above, was involved in a tragic crash near Kanosh, the sheriff s office wrote Sunday on Facebook. The dog answers to Pfeiffer.
Anyone who sees Pfeiffer is asked to call the sheriff s office at (435) 743-5302. They hope they can reunite him with his family in order to help alleviate some of their hardship.

FILLMORE, Utah â The Millard County Sheriff s Office has asked for the public s help in stopping the theft of copper wire, catalytic converters and other items. Current pricing of certain metals and materials has increased in the scrap and recycle industry which often results in the increase of theft of these items. As always, we feel that involving our communities in the deterrence of crime will decrease the number of potential victims, a Facebook post from the Millard County Sheriff says.
BLACK ROCK, Millard County A train with multiple cars containing flammable liquids derailed along state Route 257 on Saturday.
In a statement on Sunday, Union Pacific said the train carried mixed freight in 28 cars and derailed about 4:30 p.m. There are no injuries, and Union Pacific is currently working to remove debris and repair the area of the derailment, it said.
Union Pacific said an engineer and a conductor were on the train.
Millard County Sheriff s Office Lt. Robert Clark said six cars were carrying flammable liquids. The other cars contained bulk flour, wheat and other commodities. The liquids were contained to the railroad right-of-way. The derailment did not affect any roadways.
