Milky Way International Trading Corp., doing business as MW Polar, is recalling approximately 297,715 pounds of ready-to-eat canned corned beef products imported and distributed in the United States without the benefit of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service import re-inspection, according to a news release.
Public Health’s Division of Environmental Health is working closely with Cost-U-Less, which was notified of the recall by corporate headquarters March 3. Corrective actions were immediately taken, with approximately 4,765 round cans and 15,896 tapered cans of Ox & Palm Corned Beef Original products removed from store shelves, the release stated.
