It’s part of my job, sure, but there is something about bringing a big, fat, juicy burger, a nice greasy slice of pizza, or a gooey Taylor ham/pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich to life. I take pride in my food photos; well, most of them anyway. Let’s face it: Most Facebook food photos, even those in food groups where you’d expect better, look like they were shot at the bottom of the ocean. The Dripping Springs school district is seeking names for its new elementary school on Darden Hill Road

elementary school The Dripping Springs school district is seeking input on the name for the district’s fifth elementary school, which is under construction on Darden Hill Road. The school will have the capacity for 850 students and is scheduled to open for the 2021-22 school year. Work on developing attendance zones will begin in January. A committee is working on developing a recommendation of a potential school name. The committee will determine three recommendations for the district s Board of Trustees to consider, which tentatively is scheduled to occur at the Jan. 25 board meeting. District schools are named after existing natural springs in the district. Board policy states that district facilities may be named for local residential areas, local geographic features, or local, state or national landmarks; and district facilities shall not be named for persons, living or dead.
