Glendale Vietnam vet awarded $2,500 in sweepstakes

Vietnam veteran and Glendale resident Alfred Taitano woke up on the morning of March 16 to accept his grand prize after winning the Military Star “Your Holiday Bill is on Us Sweepstakes” at the Luke Air Force Base Exchange. A small group of service members and participants gathered for the ceremony as Taitano was presented with the grand prize in the form of an oversized check for a $2,500 Military Star statement balance.  Before he received his prize, Taitano said it was an exciting moment and a great surprise. He added that he and his family are “very grateful.” The Army & Air Force Exchange service exclusively awards this “Military Star” card to service members and their families. It allows recipients to build credit responsibly. The line of credit can be used at military exchanges and commissaries regardless of where the military members serve.

Last week, on International Women’s Day 2021, official Palestinian television, controlled by the PA, showed several news highlights focusing on four women as “role models of honorable and fighting women,” including terrorist murderers Dalal Mughrabi and Fatima Barnawi.
