Thats how it started our intention was to lounge around cuba. We wrote a chapter, sat around with friends we went to venezuela, china, the border of north korea russia, ukraine, georgia is up in chicago and ch, but we just traveled to different sociadifferentdifferef the socialist, former socialist countries. It is a very anthony ordained pj orourke style book. I think if we say that on a second line isnt our normal academic book. We have been good friends for a long time and we are both in texas now, so its easy to collaborate. He was at san jose state and before. What did you find in cuba . At first it feels like any sort of other. Until you start noticing like youre walking down the streets and restaurants or bars that way, looked in other streets you can tell fully residential strt from a business street. One of them is the absolute absence and the other is the prices are just completely dont make sense and i dont know if youve traveled it is a tradeoff between quality and price. A
Mr. President , two an a half years into your presidency, what has been the biggest learning curve . What has been your biggest frustration . Pres. Trump in terms of learning curve, its a little patience. It doesnt go as quickly as things you do in private, but not that much different than i expected. We have accomplished a lot. I go around saying we have accomplished more maybe than any president has in two and a half years, but i have loved every minute of it. Weve had fun. I think the biggest frustration has been the way the media covers me, the way media covers this agenda, and im disappointed by it. Im very surprised by it. Generally, i think over my lifetime ive gotten pretty good press, and here, no matter how big a victory, they really cover it incorrectly, hence the term fake news, etc. I would say that has been a disappointment. Going to be most interesting is how the stocks react and what was already built in or was this just kind of a big trade into big cap growth and were not really talking about the quarterly results. Its just a placeholder type investment or are we really banking on great numbers from the likes of facebook and the others . I mean, microsoft is really interesting. Flawless quarter, stocks getting a nice bump, but its not running away whats amazing to me is just how big these companies have become if you look at the numbers and the actual earnings, i like to look at the earnings, theyre not that great earnings from the Technology Group are down this quarter. Earnings from the Technology Group are down in the Third Quarter. The semiconductor has been generally bad with a few exceptions and yet people keep buying these stocks and they keeptelling me well, theres nothing else to buy in growth. Semiconductor index, the smh, weve talked about this before, 2 from historic highs horrible commentato
