Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, a quartet of Canadians will begin the year on the PLL’s “Unavailable to Travel” list and be exempt from their 30-man roster count to start training camp.
Chaos LC’s Curtis Dickson and Challen Rogers, Chrome LC’s Jesse King and the Whipsnakes’ Bryan Cole will all begin the season on the list and will not report to training camp, a league source confirmed to IL.
The players’ unavailability doesn’t come as a surprise to coaches around the league as several took that consideration into account while selecting players for the PLL’s Entry Draft. Rogers, who was with MLL’s Boston Cannons last year, was selected No. 16, the eighth pick of the second round. Multiple coaches speculated that he’d have been taken higher had his availability been more certain.
