State advocate general Ashutosh Kumbhakoni, pointed out the fact that the state selected the two contractors, especially Javi, which had carried out a similar city surveillance project for Delhi.
The Bombay High Court on Monday directed two private contractors, selected by the Maharashtra government to install CCTV cameras in police stations across the state, to appear before the HC on Friday to explain the delay in the installation work.
The installation work should have been completed within 22 weeks from the date of their contract last year. The two pvt contractors have now sought 16 weeks to complete the work.
