Zahmire Welcome, previously of Freemansburg, was one of five gang members charged in connection with criminal activities, including homicide. On Wednesday, the 22-year-old Welcome pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge. He is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 1, and the plea deal includes a time-served sentence. Chief Deputy District Attorney Bethany Zampogna said the sentencing range would nearly 21 months by next month’s hearing. Welcome has been in prison on $1 million bail in the case since April 2019.
