Editor’s note 3/11/21: This story was updated to reflect the new number of fans allowed to attend games at Coors Field after an announcement Tuesday that the team was granted a variance from the state, approving an increased capacity from 12,500 fans to 21,000 fans.
Like much else, the Colorado Rockies storied Opening Day festivities will look a bit different this year. While there will be fewer fans carousing around LoDo only 21,000 people will be allowed to attend each game those who aren’t able to snag tickets will be able to take part in celebrations at one of downtown Denver’s most exciting new developments.
