Woods to sign copies of Eldred memoir

CARROLLTON Author Jack C. Woods will sign copies of his book, “Growing Up in Eldred” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 5 at the Greene County Historical and Genealogical Society library and museum on the Carrollton square.
Woods was born in Eldred in 1929 and, after several moves, his family returned there when he was 8.
His book contains his recollections of people, places and events encountered during his time in Eldred, taking readers down memory lanes including some that still can be walked today spanning the Great Depression and pre-World War II America.
