An area of low pressure will move through the state on Thursday with widespread snow, albeit light snow. The snow could mix with or start out as a little rain over the lower elevations of north-central Montana, but the primary precipitation type will be snow. Temperatures in the lower elevations will reach the mid to upper 30s, so the snow will be wet. Mountain locations will have highs in the 20s, cooler temperatures allowing for more efficient accumulation. Snow will move out of western areas by the afternoon and evening.
