Published January 22, 2021 1:31pm Senator Risa Hontiveros on Friday asked the Food and Drug Administration if incumbent congressman Mikey Arroyo and his family s firm LTA Inc. is vying to be a distributor of Sinopharm in the Philippines. During the Senate Committee of the Whole hearing on the government s COVID-19 immunization program, Hontiveros said a certain Juan Miguel Arroyo of LTA Inc. sent an email to FDA Director General and the Vaccine Experts Panel Secretariat last November 10. The email had no body but contained two attachments about Sinopharm, according to the senator. This one (email) po was on November 10 and congressman Mikey Arroyo said he wanted to share some information on a vaccine that might be useful to the FDA and I suggested to email and also to the VEP, FDA director general Eric Domingo responded to Hontiveros.

MANILA – Leaders from various political parties and power blocs in the House of Representatives met on Tuesday to back Speaker Lord Allan Velasco’s resolution proposing amendments to the restrictive economic provisions in the 1987 Constitution.
The hybrid meeting called by Velasco took place a day before the House Committee on Constitutional Amendments would conduct its hearing on Resolution of Both Houses No. 2 (RBH 2).
