Assistance system created to help Norwich seniors get COVID-19 vaccines

NORWICH Seniors in need of assistance to get registered for the COVID-19 vaccine will have two opportunities in the coming days.
Norwich Human Services and Norwich Public Schools will join the Rose City Senior Center an effort to help senior citizens establish email accounts for the purpose of registering for the vaccine. Residents may call the RCSC Monday, Jan. 25 and Tuesday, Jan. 26 to schedule an appointment with a worker. Appointments will be on Tuesday, Jan. 26 and Wednesday, Jan. 27.
Workers will call the senior back and help them to set up an email account if they do not have one and enroll them into Vaccination Administration Management System (VAMS.) This will all be done remotely, with the senior being able to remain in their home and the worker working from their office.
