Volunteers at the new Ongar hub A community project helping to support vulnerable people during the pandemic continued its expansion last week with the opening of its latest hub in Ongar. Founder of 3Food4U Pesh Kapasiawala said the charity continues to be humbled by the support it is receiving from the community, volunteers and donors and from the host of the Ongar hub, Zinc Arts Centre. It made it one of the project’s busiest opening days. The hub was visited by Epping Forest District Councillor Jaymey McIvor, who has been a big supporter and advocate of our vital charity from the beginning.

3food4u s founder Pesh Kapasiawala and Rose Kearin with Urbanest s donation A community project providing vital support for those in need during the pandemic is set to receive additional help during lockdown. The 3food4u charity has been nominated for the Joseph and Lilian Sully Foundation donation and to Essex County Council (Essex Association of Local Councils) for grant funding lockdown support for the community by Loughton Town Council and mayor Cllr Stella Murphy. This is set to help provide a vital lifeline for so many in these challenging times. Organisers have thanked Urbanest and Rose and Gus Kearin for facilitating the donation of 600 food packs including super noodles, coke, playing cards and sweets to the project. The donations will be used to feed several hundred families in the local area.
