Player arrests. Now more on what led to mcdonalds arrest. Reporter according to police, ray mcdonald was booked into the Santa Clara County jail on felony Domestic Violence charges. He posted a 25,000 bond later in the morning and was released. According to the sacramento bee, mcdonald was having a Birthday Party at his home when he and his pregnant fiancee got into a fight. When Police Arrived on scene, she showed officers bruises on her neck and arms. Thats when officers placed mcdonald under arrest without incident. His is the first case since nfl commissioner Roger Goodell announced tougher penalties to deal with Domestic Violence last thursday. According to a letter he sent to all team owners, a first offense would mean an automatic six game suspension. A second offense would be dismissal from the league. In the letter, he also wrote more severe penalties for a first offense would be considered for violence involving a weapon, choking, repeated striking or when the act is committe

Speed chase is in the hospital with life threatening injuries this evening. Just moments ago, authorities identified the woman involved in the shooting off the old highway, its 46yearold karen jenks. She is a transient. Started at 11 45 last night when someone called 911 to report a car going in reverse on highway 101 near windsor. Deputies caught up with the car, the chase began hitting nearly 100 miles an hour, when the woman finally stopped deputies say she refused to surrender. As they approached he put her car in reverse and ran down three deputies. Thats when they opened fire. I just think its a sad state of affairs when this kind of violence actually happens. And i hope everybody, you know, will be okay. But it sounds like it was a really bad experience for the officers and for the person involved. The officers hit by the car suffered minor injuries.
