Nashville-based investment management company Clearbrook Holdings announced Thursday it has named Charles T. C.T. Stevens III as executive vice president and COO.
A certified public accountant, Stevens previously served for 14 years as a senior manager with Ernst & Young s assurance practice. At EY, he worked with HCA Healthcare, Dollar General, Nissan North America, LifePoint Health and Change Healthcare, among others.
Stevens’ responsibilities at Clearbrook include various duties associated with the company s portfolio of businesses and real estate investments. He will be involved in acquisition and disposition activity, operational and financial management and strategic planning.

Shmerling now owns site with small building, near Saint Thomas
Nashville-based real estate investor Mike Shmerling has paid via an LLC $2.3 million for a property located near Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown, according to a Davidson County Register of Deeds document.
The three-parcel site offers a small, nondescript commercial building and a collective 0.37 acres. It has addresses of 306 19th Ave. N., 1818 State St. and
The seller was Austin-based prosthetics maker Hanger Inc., a publicly traded company that bills itself as generating $1 billion in annual revenue and with nearly 5,000 employees. Hanger no longer operates from the empty building.
Hanger, via J.E. Hanger of Georgia Inc., paid a collective $345,000 for the property in two separate transactions, according to Metro records. The Hanger building hugs the modernist structure called State House Condominiums.

1919 Charlotte Ave., the three-story brick building sits on the largest of the site s six parcels and also houses the offices of Nashville Healthcare Center, DaVita Dialysis and Results Physiotherapy, among others. It is called 1919 Medical Office Building. The other five parcels are used as surface parking.
The new owner is HRT of TN LLC, which shares an address with publicly traded Healthcare Realty Trust. As of Sept. 30, Healthcare Realty owned 211 real estate properties in 24 states totaling a collective 15.5 million square feet and valued at approximately $5.5 billion, according to the company website. The company also provides leasing and property management services to buildings with a combined 11.9 million square feet nationwide.
