Trotters In Spotlight At Mohawk Park | Standardbred Canada

Trotters tussled in series action Monday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park, as the Campbellville oval hosted round two of the Wine & Roses Trotting Series and the Family Day Trotting Series. Charmbo Prince was a repeat winner in the Family Day Trotting Series for driver Mike Saftic and trainer Jack Rier. The four-year-old son of Royalty For Life-Hetties Charm dictated the terms of the tempo when he threw down very sensible fractions of :28.4, 1:00 and 1:30.3. It turned into a final quarter sprint, and Charmbo Prince uncorked :27-second speed in the final frame en route to winning by a length over Franks Angel in 1:57.2. Toccoa Falls was third.
