MANSFIELD By mid-June shoppers, will be browsing aisles of fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, meats from beef to venison, jams, sauces and more at Mansfield Farms Fresh Market.
The new shop is a mini grocery store, a bit of cross between Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods, according to co-owner Rob Crugnale.
“We’re like (Trader Joe’s) but smaller with more, fresher produce,” he said.
Crugnale and his partner Mike Rae are opening Mansfield Farms Fresh Market on Copeland Drive in the former Benny’s space. The plaza was also once home to Ro-Jack’s supermarket.
The two are best friends who grew up together in Canton. Rae is a Mansfield resident and Crugnale lives in Walpole. They even once worked in restaurant kitchen together and are now are partners in the produce market business.
