The victim was driven here to u mc with life threatening injuries and then around 8 00, the victim died. Were still working to learn more about this victim and this deadly stabbing. Actually say in the beer distributors pockets. It was public money that was supposed to go to promoting recycling but was instead winding up in the distributors pockets just because of an error in the way the law was constructed. They were very active in political campaigns and that loophole of what we knew about it for years and years and years was not corrected. My first term in the legislature in 2009 was the first year the legislature was publicly financed. I cant point to a direct correlation. But i think it was about two weeks after we were sworn in that we came in and corrected that loophole and those funds are returned to the public. And so thats a clear example of a special interest that had been able, to no pun intended, bottle up legislation.
