John J Hubert Jr passed away May 2, 2021 after a brave and courageous fight against Covid-19. He went peacefully with his mother and wife holding his hands.
John was born in Joliet on March 16, 1974 and grew up in Joliet until his family then moved to the countryside of Seneca in 1990 and he began his life as a Fighting Irish. He was passionate about football and was a member of the 1990 State Champion Fighting Irish football team.
After graduation, he went on to college to play euchre! He got very good! But soon realized, it wasnât the right time for school, so after a few shorter stints at various jobs, he settled in at Kozol Bros as their graphic designer in the sign shop. He remained for nearly 20 years as the âsign guyâ, but finally left to pursue a dream in the oil refinery business. He went to REG in Seneca which he loved and learned a lot, but an amazing opportunity opened up for him at Exxon-Mobil and that is where he found his forever employer.
