Today was day 12 of trumps criminal trial and it started with another hearing on his repeated and pretty flagrant at times violations of his gag order which is put in place because he cannot seem to help himself from attacking the judge, the jury, are potential witnesses. To date judge merchan city violated the order for the 10th time. For comments he made when he attacked the integrity of the jury that will determine his fate. The judge found trump in Contempt Of Court and fined the expresident another 1000 bringing the fines up to 10 grand. Judge merchan said he was prepared to go farther. During the darkness of the storm we saw what is brightest in america. All of us have been shocked by the forces of Mother Nature and theyre watching on television and we have also seen nurses at nyu hospital, carrying fragile newborns to safety. We have seen incredibly brave firefighters in queens waist deep in water, battling infernos, rescuing people in boats. One of my favorite stories was in North Carolina the coast guard going out to save a sinking ship. They sent a rescue swimmer out, the rescue swimmer said i am dan, i understand you guys need a ride. That kind of spirit of resilience and strength, but most importantly looking out for one another, that is why we always bounce back from these kinds of disasters. First of all, lets not make too much of this. A majority of the people who vote yesterday were female. It was 5149. But it was less than we a point or so less, but it wasnt like there was a huge shift in the gender balance in the electorate that voted yesterday. Women have a tendency to place a higher priority on issues like education and health care and i think any politicians, republican or democrat who hopes to appeal to women has got to have something intelligent to say about both of those issues.
