Victims were celebrating bastille day commemorating the start of the french revolution, much like our fourth of july. Elaine cobbe is in paris and joins us with the latest. Reporter local media are saying 76 people are dead after the large transport truck plowed into the crowd gathered to watch the bastille day fireworks. Dozens more injured, 16 are in the hospital in critical condition. Ambulance services and firefighters are on the scene to help the wounded.
