During the last several weeks, Lenawee County has hosted MI-DHHS Rapid Testing events at Adrian High School. This is a community-wide effort to help not only students returning from spring break, but an opportunity for anyone in our community to get a free rapid test.
While the event takes place at Adrian High School, a big thank you to Mark Haag, LISD superintendent; Steve Guerra, Addison superintendent; Mike McAran, Morenci superintendent; Nick Steinmetz, Madison superintendent; Carrie Dillon, LISD board member; and David Pray, LISD board member, for volunteering during these community-based events to help keep all of our schools safe and open for teaching and learning.

MORENCI Morenci Middle/High School will remain on a virtual learning platform through today after a majority of the district shifted to all-remote learning March 22 because of positive COVID-19 cases and contact tracing.
As of press time Wednesday, Superintendent Mike McAran said the number of people in the middle and high school out of school because of a positive COVID-19 test, or who have been considered a close contact, had grown to more than 60 students and more than 10 teachers.
Thursday will be the final day of classes for Morenci before the district moves into spring break. Parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Thursday will be handled remotely, a communication from the district said.
