Deadline approaching for Futures for Frontliners Scholarship – WBKB 11

ALPENA, Mich. –  Michigan front line workers interested in going to college need to apply soon for a state–wide scholarship opportunity before the December 31st deadline. The Futures for Frontliners Scholarship program offers free tuition to eligible Michigan workers. Governor Whitmer introduced the educational scholarship earlier this year as a way to reward Michigan frontline workers during the COVID–19 pandemic. Alpena Community College staff said this is a great opportunity for Michigan workers looking for a change. “It’s an opportunity for people who work in any essential jobs and there’s a list of them out there,” said ACC Director of Admissions Mike Kollien.
